I read this 2011 book in November 2018. It is by far the best, no-nonsense, to-the-point, and practical ASP.NET book I was able to find for my purpose of rapidly creating quality database-driven ASP,NET web applications, without getting slowed and mired down by the latest overly-complex and snooty fads like ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core.
