Vitaly Friedman

Vitaly loves beautiful content and complex challenges, and does not give up easily. He co-founded Smashing Magazine back in September 2006 and since then spends pretty much every day trying to make it better, faster and more useful. He runs responsive design training and workshops and loves solving complex UX, performance and front-end problems in large and small companies.

Rachel Andrew

Is a front and back-end web developer, author, speaker, and Editor-in-Chief of Smashing. She has written several web development books, most recently "CSS Grid Layout." She is also the founder of edgeofmyseat.com, the company behind Perch CMS.

Ada Rose Cannon

Is really passionate about Virtual Reality and other new Front End Web Technologies. Her favourite computer language is HTML (yes, really). Ada used to work in R&D on front-end web technology but now she is a Web and VR Advocate for the Samsung Internet Web Browser.

Adrian Zumbrunnen

Is a user experience & interaction designer working at Google (and formerly Information Architects) in Zurich. He loves the Web, well-formed type, and freshly brewed coffee. In his free time he goes kite surfing and writes about UX design on his blog.

Yoav Weiss

Is a principal architect at Akamai, where he focuses on making the web platform faster by adding performance-related features to browsers as well as to Akamai’s CDN. Yoav has been working on mobile web performance for longer than he cares to admit.

Lyza Danger Gardner

is a developer and co-founder of Cloud Four. A 20-year veteran of the web, she is a generalist with an abiding commitment to making the web work everywhere. Lyza is a seasoned and spirited speaker, and is a writer for A List Apart, O'Reilly, net Magazine, Smashing Magazine and others.

Mike Riethmuller

worked on some of Australia's largest websites as well as some of the smallest community sites. When he's not building websites or writing about it, he likes to experiment with code. When he's not exploring the digital landscape, he likes to explore the world and is currently trying to find a way to do both those things at the same time.

Marcy Sutton

Works on web accessibility tools at Deque Systems, a company focused on digital equality. In 2016, O’Reilly gave Marcy a Web Platform Award for her work in accessibility. She loves co-leading the Accessibility Seattle meetup and is starting a code club for Girl Develop It Bellingham. When away from the keyboard, Marcy can be found hiking with her dog, riding a bicycle, or snowboarding.

Laura Elizabeth

Is a designer turned product creator. She predominantly helps developers conquer their fear of design and runs designacademy.io, a training platform where developers can learn how to design.

Greg Nudelman

Is a Mobile and Tablet Experience Strategist, Fortune 500 Advisor, and CEO of DesignCaffeine. He is an internationally acclaimed design workshop leader and has authored four UX books: The $1 Prototype: Lean Mobile UX Design and Rapid Innovation for Material Design, iOS8, and RWD, Android Design Patterns: Interaction Design Solutions for Developers, Smashing Mobile Book (co-authored), and Designing Search: UX Strategies for eCommerce Success.
