Constant Positive Airway Pressure Machines, or CPAP Machines for Brief, are devices used to treat a sleeping disorder called Obstructive Sleep Apnea or OSA. All these are contraptions that a patient utilizes to keep a necessary amount of stress around the nose, throat and mouth region to stop apnea or lapses in breathing to happen.

OSA generally happens during sleep. What occurs is that if an individual sleeps, the throat muscles and tongue relax clogging the airways around the throat. This also results in breathing lapses with periods. This is awful for any person. Lapses in breathing can lead to loss of oxygen from the system. To compensate, the heart pumps more blood to give oxygen to the different areas of the human body. By doing this, the entire procedure for pumping more blood through sleep will pressure the heart and might result in more severe heart ailments.

To take care of this sleeping disease, patients have been prescribed CPAP therapy. This therapy requires the usage of a machine which will maintain a specific quantity of air pressure in the throat and mouth area. A mask, attached to a tube, will be worn with the individual.

There are downsides to using CPAP apparatus, however. The most typical one is suffering distress during sleep. The mask is tight and it’s joined to the flow generator with a tube. This usually means that the individual won’t have the ability to move freely throughout sleep.
